Riana had her first day at day care today...I went into work late so that I could drop her off and meet the teacher. She seemed very nice and there were 2 other little boys in the class today. Funny thing is and not that you can tell from names but most of the names on the door looked like boy babies and most of the people I know who had babies around the time Riana was born were girls. Anyway I dropped Riana off and stayed for a little while in the room with her and then headed to work. She didnt get upset when I left but I do not think that shes at that point yet although since I have started back to work I can tell that she does miss me when we are not together.
After day care was over I text Alisa to see how Riana's day was and she said that she thinks Riana could feel the stress from the teacher because it is not the one who will usually be there and she hasnt worked there in a couple of years, Riana did not eat very much and cried some but hopefully tomorrow will be better and if not especially Monday when the regular teacher arrives. It kind of hurt my heart to hear this but I know adjustments take some time.
I thought about crying but I am a big girl and I didnt ;) I love my baby girl but I know I need to work and she needs to meet other people and get used to being on her own...

Well....
Tomorrow is the big first day of school so no more having Riana with me for half days or whole days makes for one sad mommy :(
She has stayed with her Nanny Ms. Alisa for the past 2 days and seems to really enjoy it, which makes me happy because of course I want her to miss me but I want her to be happy where she is so that is a PLUS! Here are 2 pictures Alisa sent me which really help make my day better and put a smile on my face!

Well....
We have made it through the first three days back at work, luckily Riana and my mom have gone with me so I still get to be with her all day :) Everyone and school loves seeing Riana and she always welcomes them with a smile!
Hard to believe she will be half a year old next month, where does the time go! She is growing and changing everyday. For a few weeks she has been doing really well sitting up by herself, we still have to get her into the sitting position but once she is there she can hold herself up and play with her toys! She look so big doing it!
She is now a rolling machine although she tends to just roll to the left lol!
Another big thing for me is this week she has started reaching for me and let me tell you that makes me one happy mommy to know she wants me :)

SO VERY SAD.....
Well after being off for 5 1/2 months I must return to work tomorrow and I am not ready! I love being a home with Riana and spending time with her and seeing her change and grow. I have spent every hour of every day with her since she was born other than the few times we have gone out to dinner or to hang out with our friends and she has stayed with her Granna. I am sad that I am going to miss something because she changes so much and does so much now, I am thankful I got to be here for her first time smiling, laughing, rolling over but gosh now I may miss so much!!! I am getting sad thinking about too much!
Tomorrow was going to be Riana's first day with Josh all by themselves but as my luck works they have finally gotten to our house and the new roof is being put on so it would not be a good day for them to start. I can only imagine how fussy she would be without being able to sleep because of the banging and just the banging in general.
Riana got to meet her other great-grandmother today my Grannie, my father and my aunts husband Tom and to see Cric again. She was really sweet to them and we enjoyed the time visiting with them.
I really hope that the day goes well tomorrow, I am fortunate to love my job but it is going to be an adjustment! Say a prayer for us! Luckily Granna will be going to work with us to help with Riana and "Uncle" Amanada will be there too and some other friends!

So far...
Today we finished the variety of vegetables we had for Riana and she likes them all, peas, green beans, squash, carrots and sweet potatoes. I do have to say that peas and green beans seem to be her favorite but we shall see! I am so glad that she liked everything because after the cereal I was afraid it was going to be hard to get her to eat! I am ready for her to try fruit, especially the bananas I remember liking them even when my brother was a baby!
Expecting a tooth to pop through any day now she drools constantly, we go through so many bibs it isnt funny! It makes me sad for her little gums to hurt!

Big Girl!
Well we had an exciting weekend! It was Nana's 83rd birthday on Saturday so on Friday her and my mom came over for lunch. I made pizza and a homemade cookie cake for Nana. We had a very good time and Riana was soo sweet! She laughed and talked to Nana and Mama a lot. She also gave Nana some really good birthday love.
On Saturday Riana rolled over! She has done it a few times before but I think the position she was laying in kind of helped a little but this time it was all her! She has done it numerous times since then. I tried to get it on video Saturday and Sunday and of course everytime the camera was on she quit but I finally got it today as she played in the floor with her toys! When I go and get her up from her naps now I find her on her stomach its really cute and she is proud of herself!
On Sunday we also tried a new veggie....Squash! Riana liked it not quite as much as her peas and green beans but she did like it. I am so glad she is doing well with vegetables! I had a doctors appointment this morning so Riana stayed with Josh...she still has not had a bottle but a few times and has hated it more times than liked it. Today I left one with Josh just incase it took me a long time and when I got home he has just started feeding it to her and she did a great job, even held it herself! I was proud of her especially since I have to go back to work Monday so she wont have a choice :(

I searched for a cell phone or her everywhere because she is so interested in ours she always looks intently at them when we have them out and reaches for them! She has started finding toys in her crib when she wakes up from naps and actually going to them on her play mat in the floor! It is so exciting to watch her grow and actually start to play. Lately she has started squeling when she gets excited and the girl has some lungs!!! I will miss her so much when I go back to work especially our lazy mornings watching tv, she is SO happy in the mornings and always excited to see us!

More on veggies!
Riana finished her first container of peas yesterday (it took 3 feedings) so today we decided to try green beans! I attempted to video again but it is really hard to hold a camera and feed her all at once. She loves them, I am so glad she does well with veggies because I was really worried since she does not really dig the cereal. She really liked peas so I was hoping the beans would go over just as well and they did, she even got mad when they were gone. She is eating 1 tablespoon at lunch now now to just figure out when to increase the amount. If I can figure out how to upload a video even though its not great I may share it haha!

Mountain Trip
Yesterday Riana, Josh, Mitchell and I went to Asheville and Chimney Rock for the day just to get away before I have to go back to work on the 15th :(
We had a really nice day, Riana was very good and slept most of the way there are back! We ate lunch at Mellow Mushroom in downtown Asheville and it was AMAZING! Then we visited the Asheville Mall just to get out and stretch our legs a little! After we left Asheville we decided to go home via Chimney Rock so we could stop and get some ice cream, what a great way to finish the day! Although most of the time you expect it to be a little cooler in the mountains ands well I couldnt really tell much difference!
